A Later alternative for agencies that still publish to X.

Later built its name on visual planning for Instagram, and it is still good at it. Since August 2025 it no longer publishes to X, and its collaboration features start on the Growth plan. This page compares the points that matter for client work, using Later's own pricing page and help center.

Why teams switch to Julexis

X, with threads done for you

Publish to X next to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads and Pinterest. A post over 280 characters goes out as a thread automatically.

Clients approve, not just comment

Your client opens a private, password-protected link and approves each post or asks for changes. They need no account, and you get one notification when they finish.

First comments beyond Instagram

Schedule a first comment with the post on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and X.

AI that goes past the caption

Write captions and rewrites, generate images with GPT Image 2.5 or Nano Banana Pro, edit part of an image, make a video with Google Veo 3.1 Lite, or draft a whole plan of up to 84 posts. AI credits come with the plan. There is no API key to bring.

Questions

What does Julexis cost?

Julexis is in an invitation-only closed beta, and it is free for the testers we approve. Prices are not public yet. Beta testers will be offered a discount on their first year before the public launch.

Can I still publish to X with Julexis?

Yes. X is one of the seven networks Julexis publishes to, and a post over 280 characters becomes a thread automatically.

Can clients approve posts, not just comment on them?

Yes. Your client opens a private link with the password you set, then approves each post or asks for changes. They do not need a Julexis account.

Which networks support a first comment?

Instagram, Facebook, Threads and X. You write the first comment in the same editor as the post, and it goes out with it.

Is AI included, or do I need my own OpenAI key?

It is included. Every plan comes with a monthly amount of AI credits for captions, images, video and content plans. You never paste in an OpenAI or Google key.
